Welcome to The Uncharted Travel. By booking a journey with us or using our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Acceptance of Terms

The travel services offered by The Uncharted Travel, operated by Gouncharted LLP (a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India under the LLP Act, 2008), are provided to the traveller (hereafter referred to as the “Client”) subject to unconditional acceptance of all the terms and conditions outlined herein, without modification.

By accessing our website, contacting The Uncharted Travel, or proceeding with a booking, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, including the Privacy Policy and legal notices published on [www.theunchartedtravel.com].

All bookings made with Gouncharted LLP constitute a binding agreement between the Client and the Company. By making a booking and/or remitting any payment toward a travel experience (the “Journey”), the Client confirms acceptance of all the terms listed here and those referenced on the website.

In the case of group bookings, the Client confirms that all other travellers on whose behalf the booking is made have been made aware of and have agreed to these terms. For the purposes of this agreement, the term “Client” refers collectively to the person making the booking and all associated travellers under the same reservation.

Itineraries

All our journeys are bespoke and curated based on individual preferences. Once you’ve selected your experiences and submitted a request, our team will work on crafting your personalized itinerary. While we strive to match your selections as closely as possible, availability, seasonal conditions, and logistical constraints may require modifications.  No booking is considered as ‘confirmed’ unless The Uncharted sends a Tour confirmation letter to the Client after receiving the initial advance payments.

Booking Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit or full payment (as specified in your proposal). Until then, all arrangements are subject to change based on availability.

Hotel Categories & Substitutions

While we make every effort to confirm accommodations as per the proposed itinerary, The Uncharted Travel reserves the right to substitute hotels with others of a similar category and quality if the original hotel becomes unavailable due to overbooking, maintenance, or unforeseen conditions. Clients will be informed in advance wherever possible.

Clients are strongly advised to review hotel details and guest experiences online prior to confirming the journey. Our recommendations are based on professional assessments and partner networks, but The Uncharted Travel does not guarantee specific features, views, or conditions of hotel properties.

Third-Party Service Providers & Liability

The Uncharted Travel acts as a travel curator and works in collaboration with destination management companies, trusted aggregators, and local partners for on-ground services such as accommodations, transfers, activities, and guides. While we take utmost care in choosing our partners, The Uncharted Travel is not directly liable for any act, omission, service failure, or breach of contract by these third-party providers. Any grievances arising from such services must be addressed with the concerned local provider. While we will be helping the guests on the same.

Adventure Activities & Risk Acknowledgement

Some journeys may include adventure activities such as hiking, diving, wildlife safaris, off-road drives, or water sports. These involve inherent risks. By choosing such activities, clients acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or incident that may occur. Participation is voluntary, and all safety instructions provided by the local operator must be followed.

Payment Terms

  • An advance deposit (usually 25–50%) is required to initiate bookings depending on the start date of travel, in some cases if the travel date is near it can be 100% advance payment.
  • The balance will be due as per the timeline stated in your travel proposal.
  • Late payments may result in cancellation of services.

Cancellations & Refunds

Due to the bespoke nature of our trips cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Refunds (if applicable) will depend on supplier policies and the timing of your cancellation. In some cases, only partial or no refunds may be available.

Changes & Modifications

We understand plans change. Minor modifications after confirmation may be accommodated, but Substantial changes may incur additional charges. We reserve the right to adjust the itinerary if circumstances (weather, safety, or supplier issues) require it.

Cancellation by the Client

If the Client chooses to cancel the booking after confirmation, the following cancellation charges will apply, calculated from the date we receive written notice of cancellation:

More than 90 days 15% of total cost or deposit (whichever is higher)
90 to 45 days 30% of total cost
45 to 30 days 50% of total cost
0 to 30 days 100% of total cost (no refund)

Please note: Some services (such as flights, special permits, or peak season stays) may carry non-refundable terms regardless of the cancellation timeline. These will be communicated at the time of booking.

Refund Timeline

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 working days, via the original payment method. The exact time for credit to reflect may depend on the payment gateway or bank.

Partial Refunds for Incomplete Use

No refunds will be provided for:

  • Unused services or voluntary shortening of the trip after commencement
  • Missed activities due to delays or personal reasons

Dynamic Pricing & Cost Fluctuations

Travel costs are influenced by currency exchange rates, seasonal demand, availability, fuel prices, and partner policies. As a result, prices are subject to change without prior notice until full payment is made. We will inform clients of any cost changes before confirming bookings.

Package Inclusions & Exclusions

Our packages are designed to offer clarity and flexibility. Unless otherwise mentioned, the standard inclusions are: Accommodation with breakfast, Guided tours and activities listed in the itinerary, Private/shared transfers and Entrance tickets to main attractions

The standard exclusions include: International and domestic flights, Visa charges, Travel insurance, Lunch, dinner, and beverages unless specified, Personal expenses, tips, and optional activities, Any local taxes or fees payable on arrival.

Clients are requested to review the inclusions/exclusions for each trip prior to confirmation.

 

 

Offers, Discounts & Promotions

All promotional offers, referral discounts, seasonal schemes, or vouchers are subject to availability and specific terms and conditions. These cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated. The Uncharted Travel reserves the right to modify or withdraw any offer without prior notice.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal belongings. The Uncharted Travel is not responsible for any losses or damages during the trip.

Client Responsibilities

Travelers are responsible for Obtaining valid passports, visas, and other necessary documentation. Following local laws and customs and sharing accurate information with our team to enable smooth planning. Clients are required to adhere to all rules, safety guidelines, and policies set by service providers, including but not limited to hotels, activity operators, and transport agencies. Failure to comply may result in denial of service or removal from the activity without refund.

Force Majeure

The Uncharted Travel shall not be held liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performing, its obligations — including changes to itineraries, cancellations, or interruptions — if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Acts of God (floods, earthquakes, storms, etc.)
  • Natural disasters
  • Epidemics or pandemics
  • Acts of war or terrorism
  • Political unrest or civil disturbances
  • Strikes or labor disputes
  • Governmental actions, border closures, or visa restrictions
  • Airline delays or cancellations
  • Technological failures or communication disruptions

In such cases, no refunds or compensation shall be owed for any unutilized services, lost travel days, or additional costs incurred. However, The Uncharted Travel will make every reasonable effort to reschedule affected services, offer suitable alternatives, or assist with rebooking at a later date, subject to availability and partner policies.

Clients are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover such unforeseen events.

 

Privacy

All personal data shared with us is handled confidentially and used only for trip planning and communication purposes. For more details, refer to our [Privacy Policy].

Intellectual Property & Copyright

All content on our website, including but not limited to itinerary formats, images, brand elements, destination copy, and custom experiences, is the intellectual property of Gouncharted LLP (operating as The Uncharted Travel). Any unauthorized reproduction, adaptation, distribution, or commercial use is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
